Estate Life events connect neighbors, feature amazing Dallas women and causes
Kathy Fielder invited us to her shop on Lower Greenville for an event where we featured Highland Park resident Annemarie Carrigan. Annemaire was featured on the cover of our September issue. We promoted our upcoming screening at Angelika theater of the documentary film, Normie, about her life and challenges presented by Downs syndrome. The event will be held October 9 and we plan to sell any remaining tickets right up to the end or until we sell out. At last count 110 people had RSVP’d! For tickets visit www.tugg.com/events/normie
Susan Walker was also on hand at Kathy Fielder’s showroom event to promote her new book “Body Esteem.” As a M.S., L.P.C. psychotherapist and Clinical Director for Walker Wellness Clinic at Cooper Aerobics Center, Susan specializes in body image, eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and stress. The passion behind Susan’s book is to share her clinical expertise on how to foster Body Esteem and Finally…quiet the voice of your own inner critic. We recently invited our Estate Life recipients and expanded audience to the Dallas Charity Summit, held at an amazing venue, The Slate and recently became Friends of the Slate as well. 25 charities participated; each had a table where event attendees could meet the leaders, get membership information, upcoming event information, sign up for committees and/or donate auction prizes for fundraisers. We look forward to telling the story behind The Slate in our interview with Highland Park resident Shelly Slater and her family for a feature coming soon in Highland Park Estate Life.
